Accessibility Statement

Phase 3 wants everyone to be able to use phase3.net, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology. Accessibility is part of how we build websites for our clients, and we hold our own site to the same standard.

Our goal

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard most widely used to judge whether a website is accessible. We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box ticked once. Pages are checked when they are added or changed, and we fix problems as we find them.

What we have built in

  • A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page, so keyboard and screen-reader users can go straight to the main content.
  • Headings, landmarks and lists that describe how each page is organized.
  • Every link, button and form field can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
  • Form fields have labels. When something needs correcting, a message says what, and it is announced to screen readers.
  • Descriptive text for meaningful images, while purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and background colors chosen for readable contrast.
  • Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets and desktops, and that keep working when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed.
  • Content that does not depend on color alone to carry meaning.

Where you may still run into problems

Some parts of the site rely on services from other companies, such as online scheduling, embedded videos and maps, and downloadable documents. We choose these with accessibility in mind, but we do not control how they are built. Some older pages and portfolio entries may also fall short of the standard we hold new work to. If one of these gets in your way, please tell us. We will help you another way, by phone or by email, while we work on it.

Tell us about a barrier

If anything on this website is hard to use, or you would like information from it in a different format, please contact us. It helps to tell us the page address, what you were trying to do and, if you are happy to share it, the device, browser and any assistive technology you were using.

We aim to reply within two business days. We will let you know what we are doing about the problem and get you what you need in the meantime.

Updates

We review this statement as the website changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
